I had to share some pics with you all of the pretties I got from my super secret source at the local swap meet. He is a sweetie because he always gives me good deals on what I buy from him and he even saves things for me! Love it! It's like I have a personal shopper at the flea/swap market! I got this beauty for $10! I love her, so beautiful. I have to keep this one.
She fits perfect in my living room. It is mostly muted tans, creams, and a little black. So cool.
Then, this was sitting on his table and screaming for me to pick it up. I still have to clean it up, but it is gorgeous. I don't know if I can sell this one, either. It has this pretty amber colored glass on 3 sides and then all the brass(I think) metalwork. It is an old perfume bottle. The glass vial inside is broke, but who cares? It is just pretty to look at!
Then, I was feeling like I needed to do more about making my vendor tables look even more creative and festive. So I made these cute little collaged clothespins for hanging my handmade tags from. More pictures of that idea next week after the Scrapbook and Rubber Stamp show. Got the idea for the clothespins from one the Somerset Life books.
They really look cute all together and of course a little addicting to make. They are a great way to use up scraps of paper, too.
Off to create in my very messy studio. One day I'll share pics of that disaster! Blissfully yours, Tricia
I have been working on a few pieces to sell at Hollywood Regency in a few weeks. I will be there on June 6th for First Fridays in downtown Phoenix. Heidi, the owner is nice enough to let me set up inside her shop. I have written about HR awhile back. If you haven't gone, you must go by, it will be your new favorite shop! Here are a few more pics...
ll, the past few days have been a real roller coaster! First, the bad(kinda) my beautiful sweet grandma went into the hospital Saturday night with some really bad chest pains. Very scary! She's already fighting back from probably the worst leg break in history(4 breaks in her femur!) But after a rough Sunday, she has finally come back to a little bit more better. She'll have to stay a few more days while they monitor her, but at least her pain is leveled-off. She is such a tough little lady. I love her to the moon.
Now, for the news I have been waiting on...
I've been accepted as a vendor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, I can't stand it!!!
This awesome event is located in the MOST quaint little town called Pleasanton,CA. I visited this town a few years back when my sister used to live there and fell in love with it!It has so many cute little shops and restaurants. This event looks like so much fun! The classes open up tomorrow at noon and I know they are going to go fast! You can go here www.zneart.com to find out more about this fun packed mixed media art event. She already is planning next year! Convenzione is Aug. 22-24th. Pleasanton is near the San Francisco/Oakland area. If anyone is going I would love to hear from you. I would love to meet up somehow. leave me a post or email. Woo-hoo! I really can't express how excited I am.
I thought I would give you all that are coming to the 2008 Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Cropfest in Glendale on June 1st a sneaky peaky of some of the items that I will be bringing to sell at the vendor fair. I am still on a tag-thing, so I have made some more to sell..
Alot of the clear stickers you see on these tags, I have made into a special package for sale. (the crowns, the words, flamz road sign) These stickers are so cool because they are clear backed, so they are kinda transparent. woo-hoo!
Here is what the package looks like. They are really addicting to play with. :)
Here are a bunch of vintage trims and ribbons from my stash. I got alot of these over at the Long Beach Flea market last summer. Hopefully I get to go back SOON!
Here is a pack of vintage map stickers that I have created for the show. They are perfect sized for atc's and ?????
Lots of crown tickets.
Vintage labels are always cool to incorporate into your artwork.
And of course, the shopping addict that I am, I jsut had to buy some fun chipboard to share with you all, too. Hopefully, I bought enough to share??? hee hee!
Even if you don't come to the crop, you can still come to the vendor fair and make & takes. The vendor fair is only $3 to get in. Bargain!
Here are some pics of the vendor event I participated in on Friday night. It was interesting....a little drama and a few sales. I did have a good time when my friend came down and then my Mom and niece came down to hang out, too. I'm not sure if I will do this event, again, though. A little different. Nevertheless, here are pics..
I really love the wire mannequins with the paper umbrellas at the top of them. The umbrellas look like big hats or something. That was a last minute idea.
The weather was great. Here are a few close ups....
I sold all the tags I made to these 2 sweet ladies that came by, Brooke and her Mom. They were so nice, they loved everything, and almost bought everything! Hopefully, I get to run into them again sometime.
Well, hopefully these pics were enough to give you all a taste of Friday Night Out in downtown Mesa. Hopefully, I will get to do some more vendor events again soon. I'll keep you posted. Don't forget June 1st I will be vending at the 08 Scrapbook and Rubber Stamp Cropfest in Glendale,AZ, that is open to the public ($3 for vendor faire tickets) that is a great price!
Just wanted to make a quick post to say Happy Mothers Day to all the Mama's out here! Today I going to go hang out with my Mom and Gma and the boys. Yesterday was a fun day. My son Michael had never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies and has been asking about them since he has seen all the commercials for the new one that is coming out. Feeling like a bad Mom because my boy has never seen an Indiana Jones movie, I dedicated the whole afternoon to Mr Jones. We ate popcorn, french fries, and lots of candy, and never left the couch yesterday. We only got to see 2 of them because by the time the 3rd one rolled around we couldn't handle sitting on the couch no more! So, Raiders of the Lost Ark is today at 2pm on USA channel. ANyways, that's our day planned. Have a great day MOMS!
Blissfully yours, Tricia
