Sign up now! I will be teaching 2 classes at La Maison Rustique this Spring on April 26th. It will be a fun and laughter filled day of vintage inspired classes at the Barn in Temecula! The first class I am offering in the morning from 10-12 and cost is $30. Vintage Inspired Photo Holder. You will chose from my collection of vintage silver and aluminum cups, teapots, and serving pieces to create your very own photo holder. We will also embellish it with a collection of vintage buttons and trims I have. Each piece will be different, no two will leave looking the same! All you need to bring is some scissors and your favorite adhesive of choice. The piece in the photo is the Aluminum Kings Castle cup....
This class great because you will learn how you can make just about any object into a photo holder, or business card holder. maybe for your vendor booth at a show??
The second class is called "Bella Mama". Since we are so close to Mothers Day at that time, I thought you might like to make a Vintage Inspired Mama Beeswax Canvas. Class time is 1:30 to 3:30. Cost is $40 and you will learn how to collage with beeswax. A very easy process to learn and you make a unique gift for Mama or keep for yourself! Again, all that is needed is scissors and a favorite adhesive of your choice. This technique you will be able to use over and over again for so many projects. You are only limited by your imagination!

I have been dubbed.... My super awesome Aunt Robin made this for me. I received it yesterday. She is the queen of arts/crafts. She is the one that got me started with rubber stamping about 12 years ago and then it was on from there. She has been a clay and mosaic artist for as long as I can remember. You should see the fireplace mantel she did in one of her houses! Crazy-awesome!

So, a few days ago my gal Cindy B. at www.soinspired.blogspot.com and I were talking and she told me that she was going to alter a plaque that she bought with some chalkboard paint, she got me hooked a little on the chalkboard paint after that conversation. Of course, this is nothing new, but I just haven't played with it before. So, the wheels in creative brain started turning. This is what I came up with....

Words cannot express how I feel about my teaching experience at Paper Tales on Saturday. Michelle is the sweetest person, thank you, thank you, thank you. Michelle you are awesome, simply awesome. YOu helped put together such a fabulous day that none of us thought would have been so fabulous! Michelle and I literally put this class together in a week. Last week we finally got to talk on the phone, and the conversation ended with "Well, let's see if we can get maybe 8 people to sign up....."
Yeah, 21 super-fabulous gals later!!!!! It was probably the funnest class I have taught to date. Everyone was so eager to play with beeswax. It was great. I got to see so many new friends from the So-Cal area that I have made. And I made some more new friends. You gals made this so special for me. ***I can't even tell you about Mary and I's adventure later on that night after the class(let's just say a bottle of Cris and Hotel cups), I love Mary, she always makes me have the best time with her. She makes me laugh and laugh*** Anyways, on to the pictures... I have so many, so I'll give you the good ones first...

SO much fun and laughter. One person didn't make it, so Michelle got to sit in and make a canvas. She got to play with the Encaustic wax that she sells in the store,too. Here is what hers looks like.
You can see the silver wax on the edges and then she used a white platinum color on the surface. I loved it, and now addicted to the encaustic wax blocks.

She wrapped it in tulle! added the clock and beautiful rhinestone pin, the letters NEW, for new time. I love what she made. Gorgeous!
