This is me: Please keep from heat.
That's how I felt when I stepped off the plane yesterday. You felt like you stepped into an oven! I bought this stamp in KC, I thought it was appropriate for someone who lives in Arizona. Needless to say, I'm home. The weather in KC was awesome, 80 degrees and gorgeous. Loved it.
Here is the rest of my trip, summed up:
Urban Arts & Crafts Fun store with every craft supply you need, paper, beads, sewing, knitting, and great classes in a gorgeous store.
Florigieum in Parkville,Mo. Every kind of felt, fiber, yarn, and trim you can imagine. This store is like a museum for fiber enthusiasts. I can not say enough how pretty it is.
Me, at the Riverfest in KC. Not so great, needs better organizing.
Good JuJu, love the name. Not sure if they have a website, but it is near downtown KC.MO. off of 12th St. Such a cool place. They only open on the weekends and specific dates, so you have to get on their mailing list. It is an old warehouse filled with different vendors offering vintage and antique finds. WIth really great prices, I'm telling you I could have filled a TRUCK! I did find a few things for Art Unraveled next month. You lucky shoppers!
Great displays, and great deals here.
It is surrounded by old red brick warehouses. If I lived here, I would find a way to buy one of these old buildings, and live in it and have a store at the same time. It isjust too dang cool, and a little creepy at the same time. :)
Now, I have to show you a little of what I brought back with me, lots of goodies for Art Unraveled and other upcoming shows. My dining room table is covered with stuff and the couches. Gotta price it all and clean it up!
vintage religious charms for repurposed jewelry
My favorite piece of all, this one.
I'm not big on religion but I love the art of it. It is so beautiful. My son turned me on to the religious chalkware a few years ago, he loves it too. Funny, how at 8 years old he liked these pieces of art. It's just cool. This one, I'm keeping for me. It was a great price at $5, I had to have it. The one thing I'm keeping for me, everything else-sell!
Blissfully yours, Tricia

Great trinkets and treasures, are you bringing anything to La Maison? It's religious art, I am not big on religion but I love it all. Ciao Rita

I love religious statues too.....my new collecting item. My cousins wife gave me one that she had from when she was in the convent! Looks like a fun trip. Maybe we can meet up in Kansas City some time.
