Stamps on A Plane

Instead on Snakes on a Plane(the movie), Stamps on a Plane! Some people ask me how I have time to make some of the things I have for sale at the shows I do. Well, here is a little secret. This week while flying out to Kansas I brought a small stamp set, ink pad ,and some blank carnival tickets. I really can't stand to sit idle on a plane and do nothing. It feels so much like a waste to me. There are few distractions, and usually 2-3 hours of playtime. The only bummer is no room, and not much to play with. So if you can focus on project, and bring a few essentials-Voila!

Yes, people do look at you from their boring newspapers and books and think you are a wierdo. But I think they were wishing they could do something as fun as what I am doing. I know they do. I just go off in my own little creative world and smile. Now, if I could only get Southwest airlines to build a craft room area on the plane, we'd all be happy campers! hee hee.

Birthday!

I love birthdays and cupcakes! Lucky for me, today is my Birthday! Woohoo! Some people frown on birthdays but not me. I'l tell you it's my birthday. Not because I want you to tell me Happy Birthday, but because it's just a fun occasion and it makes people smile. And the cupcakes are just a bonus! enjoy the birthday cupcake pictures....

New Class for Christmas

Terri Brush

I had the awesome pleasure of being able to attend one of Terri Brush's Soldering Classes this weekend. She is very talented and patient instructor. And tons of fun! I also got to hang out with some great friends which is always the best.

Last night at Domestic Bliss we had a Fall Open House with fun Make n Takes with Halloween flair to them.

The very talented Cami made glittered spider webs. They were very spooky but elegant too.

Dixie and Katie, the two gals that keep the fun times going! How can you not have fun with these two smilin ladies?!

Minnie, the cutest witch had something spooky for the girls to make. you gotta beware of a witch that cute--she might just make a spooky skull flower pin. We had a lot fun last night. Now it's time to get ready for Blissfest!!!

Fall Open House

Come and play with me this thursday night from 6-9pm at Domestic Bliss. I will be doing Make n Takes with these vintage looking cuties.....

They are Halloween Luminaries that you can use each year. Pop a tealight  in them and you get a spooky sight! I will also be making Halloween tags for $2 each. The luminaries range from $5 to $10 depends on size, and supplies are limited so come early!

Vagabond Nights on Third Thursday

Vagabond Nites on Third Thursdays in the Melrose area of Phoenix was a huge success! Shopping by sparkling lights among all the gorgeous vintage shops and vendors was the best. The weather was great and the people were even better! Thanks to all who came out to support us. What are Vagabond Nites on Third Thursdays you ask? Third Thursdays take place every third thursday on 7th Ave & Indian School. All the amazing shops are open late til 10pm. Rust & Roses, Melrose Vintage, Hollywood regency, and a few others. Then, after you tour the great vintage/antique shops you can stroll through the vendors that are set up outside of Rust & roses. Here are a few pics from the evening....

Spiderella A Fanciful Tale

Spiderella was a lonely gal. Oh how she longed for pumpkins, dancing, and a home filled with spooky music she could twirl around to.

You see, Spiderella had her gorgeous lace corset dress on and just wanted to show off her her newest creation and she needed a Pimpkin Ball! On all Hallow's Eve was the legend of the Pumpkin Ball, where all the fairest and prettiest pumpkins danced the gypsy night away. She had never been able to find the famous Ball, but this was the year Spiderella was going ot be there.

Spiderella happened upon these two jolly fellows and asked them where the Great Pumpkin Ball was, but they said "The Pumpkin Ball is only for the prettiest and fairest pumpkins in all the land." Since she was not a pumpkin she could not go. Heartbroken, Miss Spiderella was sad but not defeated. She would find this Pumpkin Ball!

 She spied in the distance a creepy,spooky tree with beautiful, twinking chandeliers and the faint sound of violins and flutes. Spiderella hurried as fast as she could to where she could hear the happy music playing.

As she got closer she could see the top of a spooky house with skulls on top. SHe thought, "should I turn back or keep going?" Keep going! For she had followed the two pumpkins she met earlier that said she couldn't go to the Pumpkin Ball and found their secret party! Spiderella was so excited.

There were beautiful decorations scattered around the house. She couldn't stand it anymore whe had to peek inside and see what all the talk was about!

 This for sure was the Ball, look at the spooky spiders trying to get in. Everyone in the land is trying to get in this Ball!

As she peered in she could see the King and Queen of the Pumpkin Ball, and they were dressed in their Halloween best, velvet! All the pumpkins were twirling and dancing around the Grand Ball room of the Skull House of Wax. Music floated through the air, and gypsy dust was sparkling everywhere! Spiderella was so excited she finally found the Grand Ball!

The Grand Ballroom had the biggest chandeliers Spiderella had seen. SPiderella had one problem, she was too big to fit in the House of Wax! She was sad she couldn't dance with velvet pumpkins, but was still happy she could watch them twirl. After the pumpkins noticed the giant Spiderella peering in through the windows, they all went outside and danced with Spiderella. Spiderella was sad no more. She twirled the night away!

Trees,Caves, and Family

Not the usual post title you would see, huh? On Monday my family and I set off for a Samsal family adverture. And it always starts off with a laugh session at Mcdonalds and this trip was no different. SOmeone says something hilarious and we all in tears laughing our patooties off! DOn't ask me what was said, I don't remember but it was funny.

I was trying out my new Canon Rebel camera  that I received for one of the many jobs I have. What a great job, I get to play with a super awesome camera! Love it!

In all the hecticness of my life lately I needed to stop and take a day with my family. Let the dishes pile up and laundry get stinky for one more day- this day was the best. The first set of photos were taken in Flagstaff at Lockett Meadow-the backside of the San Francisco peaks. Defintiely worth the drive, the leaves are just starting to change.

Third Thursdays

Join me and Paris Montana, and several other awesome Flea Market style vendors tomorrow night in front of Rust & Roses. We will celebrating the Grand Opening of Sirens & Saints their newest endeavour- a gorgeous hip trendy clothing boutique like no other. I will have lots of Halloween items for sale plus a some of my vintage goodies as well.

Lots of  the other shops listed above are also open late for shopping,too. Come and see what 7th Ave, Melrose shopping is all about. It is one of my favorite areas in Phoenix. Love it here!

 
 Then on friday from 2-5 come play with me at Mystic Paper in downtown Mesa. I will be debuting my latest job. (Yes, there are many) From 2-4 you can come and see a fun class/demo about this VERY COOL portable printer. Bring your memory card from your camera and I will show you how this awesome little machine works and you get 10 photos for free. You must contact Mystic Paper to sign up, there is limited space available. I am seriously loving this awesome little photo printer, it does what NO other printer does. Come and see what the hoopla! is all about!
