Last night I had the pleasure of going to the Grand Opening of FOUND by Domestic Bliss. Dan and Kristin have pulled it off again. This store is amazing. I took lots of pics for the next issue of Blissfully Traveled. For now, here are a few of my favorite vignettes....

Olive In Paris

Join me in welcoming back the amazingly talented Lani of Olive Annie and her new adventure Oilve in Paris. Lani is re-opening her beautiful shop on 7th Ave upstairs of Paris Envy. I can't wait to see what she has done! just one more reason I want to move to the Melrose Area in Phoenix. For now, I'll hang with my girls at all the fun shops down there. She opens on Saturday, but i'll be there friday night for a little soiree! Hope to see you there!

There's Something About Mary.....

While I was treasure hunting last week in KC. I stumbled upon Miss Mary in a basement in an old building. I HAD to have her! She is heavy and big. I didn't care how I was getting her through security, but she was going to be on the flight with me. TSA didn't give me too much of a problem, I told them you can't say no to Mary. Jesus wouldn't have that. Just kidding, a little God humor never hurt. (I know my girl Dania is laughing at me right now, shaking her head, love ya!) ANyways, I think I might have to keep her, I don't think I can sell her. The price was amazing, too amazing to sell off. SHe stands about 2 1/2 feet tall.

Just thought I'd share my treasure.

Peace Out, Dorothy!

I'm leavin' Kansas today and of course after 5 days of rain, today is sunny. Whatever, I get plenty of sun in AZ. I'll take the rain and cold for a few. I listed a few of the goodies I found here on my Etsy. I decided not to wait for my next show or Art Unraveled. Take a peek, a few items have already sold....

Go take a peek and get yours before they are all gone. These are truly one of kind. I'm bringing "Mary" back with my on the flight, let's hope she makes in one piece! More on that tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me! This is my favorite thing I have found on this trip.

Curious Sofa

Yesterday I went to Curious Sofa to poke around. Always gotta go in there when I am in KC. I first have to show you the  new awnings that Debbie had made up for above the counter where you check out....

It's just so cool. I want to make one for my house or booth at Zinnia's!

These signs were just too cool. You know I love my industrial salvage!

My Favorites

I am in Kansas City this weekend visiting my favorite shopping hotspots! Today I hit a few secret places and then this one I can share with you...River Market Antiques Mall in downtown KC. 4 floors of goodies!

I love it when dealers put a collection together, I'm so bad, it makes me want to buy all these damn staplers. What would I do with all these staplers??????? Cool pic though.

I love all the industrial salvage pieces. There are tons in here!

This was just the coolest piece of metal cabinetry. Wayyyy tooo big for the plane, though.

FOUND

Come and FIND things at FOUND! Dan & Kristin will be opening their newest venture next Thursday evening at the former Domestic Bliss location. I peeked inside last week and saw lost of goodies I'd like to FIND in my house! I'm sure you would  too! I'll be there for the Grand Opening Party will you?

We hope all of our friends can join us for a party celebrating the opening of our new store FOUND. This one is not just for the girls~ whether your style is industrial, modern, vintage or eclectic-we hope it can be a place of inspiration & offer a bit of something for everyone. FOUND is full of vintage objects as well as art, designer furniture, lighting and linens~

Classes and More Classes

I have had lots of interest in classes lately so I am doing a whole post on where you can take some of my classes. The month of May is full of them! First up on May 1st from 6-8pm I will be teaching my soon to be published Crown Beeswax Canvas. This will be at Scrapbook Barn  in Gilbert. Cost is $45 and it is a great class to learn another way to work with layered collages. Contact Scrapbook Barn to sign up 480-503-2475. I hear there are just a couple of seats left. Also that is National Scrapbook Day and Scrapbook Barn is having a whole day full of activities. I will also be there all day with the Canon Selphy printer so bring your digital camera with you and I can print out some pictures for you on this amazing toy! It is my all time favorite!

  On May 5th & 7th I'll be back at Scrapbook Barn for the Le Petite Chateau class. One is a night time class and the other is daytime. This class you will learn how to use photos and beeswax to create a collage of your family on the inside. Take a peek....

On May 8th(saturday) from 3-6 I'll be at Mystic Paper in Mesa teaching the House of Gypsy. This little house is covered with 7Gypsies papers,embellishments, and as always with my classes some vintage finds! You bring in 3-4 atc sized photos and I will show you how to create an ATC sized collage photo that hangs on the inside. Super cute project, your kids will love peeking thru the windows at the pictures dangling inside! Contact Mystic Paper to sign up.  I'v got a few more but i'll post those when it gets a little closer. Also, this summer will be a blast- classes at Urban Barn in Southern California! Me & Mikey are going to hit the road! My poor boy deserves a little summer vacation ! (even if he does have to help his Mama a little bit) More news coming up!

Catching Up

Thursday evening I went up to Rust n Roses for the Third Thursday late night shopping event and here is the new and improved Sirens & Saints! Brand new BIG windows for you to peek into. Shelly has assembled even more yummy clothing and accessories. She is also carrying Dyanna Cooley's amazing cuffs! You will love them! I am also proud to announce that I am Dyanna's Arizona Rep for her jewelry creations, so if you are a shop owner or just want some give me a jingle! Or go see them at Rust & Roses and Not Too Shabby in North  Phoenix.

Friday I got hang out with Diane,Wendy, and Terri Brush at Diane's beautiful new home. Terri was teaching her soldering class and I was demoing my Canon Selphy printer. Diane and Wendy are the sweetest ladies on the planet. Love hanging out with them.

And here is Dottie and my Blessed Suzi creating. Suzi, I hope you had a great show this weekend. I'm sorry I didn't make it I was pooped!

Third Thursdays at Melrose

Tomorrow night is Third Thursdays down in the Melrose District in Phoenix. I'll be set up with a bunch of gals in front of Rust n Roses starting at 6pm. We'll be there until 9-10-ish.  Sirens & Saints will be reopened for it too! You can see all the new amazing clothes Shelly and Lani have picked up. I know I can't wait! 

These are some bottles I have been working on. Love the color of th glass with shells.

I'll have these with me tomorrow night. Plus, a bunch of new vintage finds! While you are down there, don't forget to stop by Zinnia's and see my booth & all the other awesome vendors! Hope to see you there. Not too many more of these in AZ becuase it is getting WARM!
