So here is unpretty.....missing drawer, stupid stickers, unloved, dirty....
ta-dah! baby dresser got a new dress! I picked up this "hot mess" of dresser a couple of weeks ago and had an idea or two about it, but then left it for later. So this morning bright and early, I was at it! Ran to Target for an extender rod, and began sewing a little "dress" for the gapping hole where a drawer used to be. I had thought about painting it white, but blah-blah, so boring. Everything is white, blah! It has this absolutely gorgeous color of seafoam-vintage 50's green, and I just couldn't paint over it. Yes, it was stained up, and needed some sanding to get who knows what off, but I love it. The green stays!
And the stupid stickers are there for now, still trying to figure out how to get the damn things off! They are very flat, not like a sticker. I sanded one off on the side, but it leaves some sanding marks, don't want to do that to the front. I may cover it with pretty paper, or leave them. They are kinda cool, kinda not??Anyways, just wanted to show what you could do with a dresser that may be missng a drawer, you could be missing out on a cute piece of furniture, don't walk by.
Blissfully Yours, Tricia
PS. this is coming with me to next week's Vintage Marketplace

A thought about those stickers. If they are older, they are probably decals and maybe can be removed with some water to loosen the glue on the back. I would have to see them. Scratch them up a bit and try dampening them with water to see if they peel off. Thought I'd throw that out there.
