Yippeeeee!!!!!!!! My sister Becky was published in the newest issue of Somerset Digital Studio! She is Master Genius at PhotoShop and created this awesome Halloween themed print last Fall.....

 
My sister taught herself Photoshop and creates so many things with it....collage sheets, Etsy banners, blog banners, cards, scrapbook layouts, and business cards. She has created many of my marketing media pieces, and created the Paris Montana blog banner. Some of you lucky gals at last Fall's Glitterfest purchased a couple of these prints from me that my sister made, so now you own a piece of published artwork! Yippee!!! Yes, I come from a super talented family, starting all the way back from my Grandma Samsal, probably even further, but I haven't looked that far back!

He'll Never Say No to You In These.....

 
Your Man will Never Say "No" to you when you wear one of these "Hot Mamas" in front of him! Yesterday I parked my pa-tootie in front of the sewing machine and studio and went to town! I've had this red vintage slip for awhile now and had a vision in my head for it, and finally put it together. It looks sooooo amazing on, I would love to keep it. The fringe on the shoulders can rest on top of your shoulders or hang off the side of your arm, kinda like the burlesque dancer dresses used to do.

I turned this vintage slip top into a babydoll type top with some lace and trim accents. So cute with a pair of jeans!

 
Having a ton of fun playing with dyes lately. I love this combination of cream and ice blues. So feminine and soft.

 
"Raspberry Rose" is my hands down favorite. It has a train of raspberry colored rosettes that flow down the back of the vintage slip. This one was so perfect-the slip was already this amazing color and the rosettes were a matching raspberry color. Perfect combination! This one is a keeper, I can't let it go. Mine, mine! I'll be wearing this one at the upcoming Vintage Marketplace show in Rainbow, CA. All  these dresses will be coming with me for sale at the show. Which one will you get??

Getting ready for this amazing, fun time show in just 2 short weeks! I have the best time here, well everywhere for that matter. New Class at Scrapbook Barn

 
I'd like to share with you a new class I have put on the schedule at Scrapbook Barn in September. I've had lots of requests for classes, so I'm trying to get a few up for you all. With all the holidays coming up, you know my head is swirling with ideas! This class is the Altered Planner. Fits perfectly in your purse or sits nicely on your desk, and is just darn cute! We will put together all the monthly pages, inserts, envelopes, and what-nots for a sweet shabby chic looking planner. You will leave with a completed project here. You will also get to use the Cinch tool to bind it all together. Love this Cinch-y tool! I've made a ton of books with it! Here are some of the inside pages.

 
 
Lots of room on each page for joting down notes and important appts. We will be using gorgeous decorative papers, rubber stamps, and some vintage papers from my collection. Here are the dates for you to choose from:

I have a good friend named Doris, she is a loyal customer and just all around sweet gal. Smart and sharp as a tack. She told me this quote that she lives by and tells all the women that she meets. If you know me, you know I love quotes, and some of them are more than just quotes. Some I do follow, and keep close to heart. This is one of those....

Every woman needs 3 things.....

 
1. Pearl Earrings because they are Classic & Timeless.

3. A Past that's Saucy enough to sustain her when she's old.

I have one of the 3, guess which one??? Which do you have?? When Doris said this to me I knew I had to share with you all. Thanks Doris, your wisdom is priceless.

Isn't this bedroom vignette dreamy?? I'd never want to get out of bed. One of the gorgeous set ups at Sweet Salvage from this past weekend. In the previous post I showed you my set up and things for sale, so this one is filled with shots of the Sale. I didn't get to take alot of photos before all the good stuff was gone, but this is what I could take. Hope you like!

You know I love my rusty vintage industrial, this piece caught my eye. And the END sign. It would be funny at the end of a hallway in your house.

 
I was feeling a bit wore out on saturday from all the heat, so I put on my boots and ripped up Paris Montana Levi's Rodeo Queen tshirt and called it a day! The heat was beyond hot, wow!

 
I had to share this pic of the Bliss Lounge with her banner, so cute, so pink.

 
And the Bliss Lounge had a lot of visitors over the 3 days I was at Sweet Salvage. She had lots love. This is long time friend and customer-Shelly of SassyKitty Boutique. She is a riot and fighter. I've known her since I opened my store in Chandler in '05. Crazy girl.

 
Dawn, The Bohemian Valhalla always has a smile and a good story. She makes purses like the one she is wearing. I absolutely love them, so gorgeous. I would prefer one of her purses over a Coach one anyday. Her style is unmatched, love it. Thanks ladies for coming by and to all my friends,family, and great supportive customers. I know it was hot and you all are troopers! Happy Monday!

Hot Show Pics

 
It's Saturday 4am, and I'm uploading pics to the blog, shows you what little time I have at the moment. Woke up at 3 and couldn't sleep, you'd think after standing out in the 110 degree heat for 2 days that's all I'd want to do is sleep. Anyways, that's neither here nor there. I wanted to give you all some peeks into the Sweet Salvage show that I have been at ,and today as well. If you are in the Phoenix area, come check me out!

 
This was my favorite piece, an amazing salvage industrial metal sorter cabinet. My Dad put some rolling wheels on the bottom of it, and now it is such a functional piece. A customer bought it to keep her shoes in! Love it!

 
This metal rolling hotel service cart is going to make some happy person a Mini Bar! I could have sold 2 more if I had them, and I know where to get more! Hee hee, going back to get them, yippee!! Old sign letters are killer too!

 
Before 10am customers were coming by already to shop! Yippee, love my early birds!

 
Brought some of my altered slipdresses and tops down from Paris Montana shop, and they've done really well,too. The gorgeous dyed cream and turquoise top was the first to go. Love the color combos.

 
Chalkboard door, gone. It was totally cool,too. can't I just keep it all!!??

I also have to give a HUGE shoutout to my Cali girl Debbie Watts, she sold me this amazing gorgeous vintage light fixture for my trailer. From the minute I saw it at the Barn, I knew it was perfect for the Bliss Lounge. It just oozes all the retro-loungey look I was going for.

 

It's so gorgeous, thank you Debbie so much! It's perfect!

 
And to end the day perfectly, Michael owner of Zinnia's brought me some Margarita's! They were so perfect for an incredibly hot day, as you can see by face and hair! You know I only put my hair up if it's HOT! It was so nice to sit in the trailer and sip on these. I think we will have to do more Margarita time in there! It is a Lounge after all?! We'll see what today brings.

I finished up this amazing chalkboard door this evening,too. It is soooooo awesome!!! Chippy, cracked up, and gorgeous, just how we love old doors. I've never been able to pass up an awesome old door. I used to have a gorgeous pink one, but it was the casualty of a moving incident. I miss it....

 
I hope to see all you cool Phoenix chicks at this show it runs Thursday thru Sunday 10-6. I'm not sure if I'll be doing another show here in Phoenix or not for the rest of the year, so come out!! I'll have the Bliss Lounge with me too!! She got some new shiny, pretty light and a new coat paint, she's gorgeous! The Pursuit of Pretty lives on!

The Girls on Tour

 
My "Girls" are on tour this week at Paris Montana in Scottsdale. We had our Grand Re-opening last night and it was a great success. Thank you, Merci! to all you great gals that stopped by. My mannequin girls are making their fashion debut in the store wearing these super fun blond afro wigs. They are just damn cool!

 
 
I don't think they are very shy these days??!!!

I've got a few new creations at the store, so if you get some time, breeze on down to Paris Montana and be devastated with all the new finds that Heidi has come up with.
