Sweet little Smokey cat passed away yesterday morning, on Christmas. She has been sick for a little while now, and hadn't been eating too much. Her little body just couldn't hold on any longer. She was a good kitty who let you know who was "really" the boss of the house. We got her when she was just a kitten about 12 years ago. Michael was very protective of her, and took care of her pretty well. The only pet he's ever had, so he was heartbroken when I told him she passed. She lived a good life with all the things a kitty could ask for-food, a house to roam, and a loving family. I do miss her sleeping at the edge my bed each night, even though I would accidentally kick her in my sleep. Silly cat would go back to the same spot every night. Bye, sweet Smokey.

Oh Tricia I'm so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Fur Baby, there really are no words. We also lost our beloved cat, Rat Boy, this year also... after almost 20 years of unconditional Love from her & it just seems strange that she is not here & I took her passing quite hard also. I Hope that you and Michael find some comfort in all of the many special memories you will hold dear to your Hearts forever of what Smokey imparted into your Lives.
