New Etsy Items

Since i've had some time at home, I've finally put some attention into my Etsy Shop. Going to so many shows in the past few months and being out of town makes it hard to update. I've found and made some cool vintage pieces. Hope you like! This one is a totally amazing 1890's cabinet card album in really good shape.

Bye, Sweet Smokey

Sweet little Smokey cat passed away yesterday morning, on Christmas. She has been sick for a little while now, and hadn't been eating too much. Her little body just couldn't hold on any longer. She was a good kitty who let you know who was "really" the boss of the house. We got her when she was just a kitten about 12 years ago. Michael was very protective of her, and took care of her pretty well. The only pet he's ever had, so he was heartbroken when I told him she passed. She lived a good life with all the things a kitty could ask for-food, a house to roam, and a loving family. I do miss her sleeping at the edge my bed each night, even though I would accidentally kick her in my sleep. Silly cat would go back to the same spot every night. Bye, sweet Smokey.

Ginger"Bear" Houses

So, every year my family and I make gingerbread houses at Christmas time. This year, no different. We gathered the usual goods-graham crackers,frosting, and loads & loads of CANDY! And GUMMY BEARS! The gummy bears are the most sought after.....

This is a Samsal family secret....if your piece of graham cracker is too big-just chew it down to the size you need! Easy-peasy!

Last year Michael made the Army gummy bear fort, this year he has recreated baby Jesus being born, Baby Jesus gummy bear is up front on the pretzel stick manger bed. ANd the 3 Wise Men yellow bears. Love it!

This is my other niece Amaya's "Club" , how did gingerbread houses turn into gingerbread clubs???? What the??? See  the gingerbread man in the front-he's the doorman(bouncer)??? See what I mean?? Too silly!

This is my sister's Pink House. Cute!

This is my niece Monique, she was in town for a few days but then had to go back yesterday. Miss her already, she cracks me up so much. Love her! Hope you and your family get to do your traditions this Christmas, Merry Christmas!

Wreath Re-do

Yesterday I picked up a wreath I made for a friend a few years ago, and it has seen better days. A bit out dated, and lost a few pretties along the way.....Her home has lots of browns, coppers, and golds for Christmas decor. So, I made her this for a small gift to give a few days ago....

It is one of the cross ornaments that Bobby makes and of course you know me, I have to add a few pretties to it! She loved it and said re-do my wreath with these on it!

SO, here it is..... I kept the rusty looking snowflake, added a few new floral accents, and of course a few more of Bobby's crosses.

I loveee the way it turned out, only wish I would have thought of this earlier in the season! Well, there's always next year, right??

An Evening in Paris, Montana that is..

Last night was a fun night at Paris Montana, I brought along several pieces of the new jewelry I've been creating with Bobby Boyd and some of Bobby's Vintage Ceiling Tile Art. It was very well received by everyone that stopped by. They were all thinking of Christmas gifts for their family and friends. We had warm Cider and yummy Salted Caramels & Chocolate Peppermint marshmallows. Yes, we were on a serious sugar high! It got a little silly and giddy all night long! Above is one of the new necklaces I made with Paris Montana in mind. What do ya think?

My vintage mannequin collection is growing!! Love them!

These are the new crosses I made (thanks to a good CA friend I know) There is only one left at the store, if you like it-run, don't walk! They just look too cool on the wall.

Heidi's pearls just make them look amazing.

I also brought a collection of vintage altered bottles. I adore all of them, want to keep them all! Vintage crosses, metals, feathers, and some gorgeous images adorn them.

This was just too pretty.....

I had to leave you with this last necklace, it is still at the store if you want it...I know you do! Have a great weekend! I'm now on a "home" vacation-which means-I just want to be home and have a normal week! No traveling, no creating for a show, just creating for me, and shopping! Yippee!!!

Artist in Residence at Paris Montana

This Thursday I will be the Artist in Residence at Paris Montana in Scottsdale,AZ. I've had my altered vintage slipdresses in here since the opening of store and now we are having a special showing of the new line of jewelry that I have been designing for Bobby Boyd Designs. I'll have completely new pieces,(since everything else I created sold at the Cowboy Christmas show in Vegas last week, yippee!). I'm also going to have a limited amount of Bobby's awesome art creations made from 100 year antique ceiling tin tile. Here are a few of his creations...

These cute little 6x6 plaques make the perfect gift for someone!

I'll have a couple of these Peace signs with me too.

And of course in true Paris Montana style, I've got one of these HUGE Longhorns!

Urban Barn Christmas

I had a great time as always with my Urban Barn friends and customers this past weekend. The Barn looked gorgeous, so many pretty displays from the vendors. So many ideas go swirling through my head!

I loved this vignette Linda created over a chippy painted mantel.

This was in outdoor vendor Becky's booth, you know I love the pink stove. Becky's set up always makes me feel like I am walking into an oversized dollhouse. She has the cutest miniatures.

This is part of my set up, Bobby let me bring some of his awesome creations to sell at the Barn. They were very well received, and lots flew out the door!

I have to share one of my newest mannequin heads with you, isn't she a cutie??!! The blue eyes are soooo cute!

Urban Barn Street Faire

I'll be here this weekend for the Urban Barn monthly Street faire-Christmas Style! You know we always throw a fabulous party! And Christmas is no different! Street Faire runs friday and saturday from 9-4, hope to see you there!

But first if you are in the Vegas area, I'll be at Cowboy Christmas Show tomorrow in the Bobby Boyd Designs booth-1135. I'm bringing a ton of new jewelry and some new accessory items made from Bobby's awesome ceiling tin tile creations. Yippee!!! See you there! Cowboy Christmas is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

A Merry Marketplace!

It was one of the best Marketplace's ever! (except for the wind, lol!) It was still great, even with it. I wasn't able to bring the trailer this time because of mechanical difficulties, it was a bummer because I had so many plans for making a Merry Bliss Lounge! The photo above is from my booth neighbor Nancy Kruse's booth. She makes some of the best vintage ornament wreaths. I love love them.

ANd my other neighbor Jamie made these super cute and very shabby chic looking fabric candy canes. Adore them!

Here is cutie pie Jamie and her cutie pie son Dylan. He came and hung out with his Mom for the show. Such a cutie!
