Country Stampede

Things are the usual crazy around here, but this past weekend I was in Kansas for Country Stampede with Bobby. We had a booth there, I was there to sell the jewelry we make. It was a bit humid and hot, but alot of fun. 

Here is our space from the stage, and our setup. We had a great spot, you could hear every single act on stage.

Here are a few of the pieces I made for the show.... and they did really well. We had lots of positive comments and feedback. Thank you!

Here's a shot of the jewelry table and the sponsor radio station 94.5 shooting a commercial that they ran on the jumbotron throughout the weekend of our booth.

While walking aroung I ran into The Farm, Krista, Damien, and Nic. They have a new album dropping in about 2 weeks, they sing the song out right now called Home Sweet Home. These guys are so nice and always have hugs for us when we see them. Check them out.

See that guy in the hat and with the beard? Yea, that's Zac Brown, from Zac Brown Band. He came to shop in Bobby's booth, and bought some stuff. He reps wouldn't let us take any pics, but you know me, I'll something some way or another! I was holding the camera in front of all this stuff on our checkout counter, hee hee!

Here I am in front of one of the 4 10 foot guitars Bobby made out of old ceiling tin. Way cool, right??!!

This is cutie pie Brantley Gilbert, currently has the No. 3 song in the nation right now, and just went Double Platinum, with Bobby. He came to the booth and shot a short video with Bobby for a secret project we are working on, can't tell you yet! Brantley was a sweetheart, he came over and gave me a hug, he remembered meeting me in Nashville last Fall. I made him a cross necklace to wear, and he wore it during his set at the concert. That was truly flattering!

I have to share this photo too. This sweet girl, was a Joplin, MO tornado survivor. SHe shared with me her story and how she missed ebing killed by it, by just 10 minutes. She got home, ran to her bathtub, and covered up, and when it was all over, her entire home was demolished. Just her sitting in her bathtub. She wanted to buy one of my cross necklaces, I was touched by her story and her spirit. She was a blessing, Im so glad I got to meet her.

Out the Door Again

Out the door again this week, heading on a jet plane to Kansas for Country Stampede. It's a 4 day long country concert and Bobby and I will be set up in the vendor area if anyone is going to be there, stop by and say hi! I've been hold up in the house making tons of jewelry for this, so cross your fingers it's good! Can't wait to see who I'm going to meet this time, would love to have a picture with Luke Bryan! Yippee!!

Anddddddd if you are going to be here in town, make sure to stop by Zinnias tomorrow for Third Thursday, everything in the store will be 20% off, including my two booths. Yippee , for you! I was looking at posts about Farm Chicks and found this one, and what do I see?? Our jewelry! This sweet gal, Melanie bought 2 pieces of mine from The Funky Junk Sisters at Farm Chicks and posted about it. I was floored and honored, that someone loved the pieces I made so much to blog about them, and to read the sweet comments that followed after. So cool. Melanie has a gorgeous blog with great photos. One day I'll get to make it to Farm Chicks myself, but for now Linda and Dixie have more jewelry that will be for sale at their next show, next week.

SO excited for Zinnia's!, they were named along with a few other favorite shops in Phoenix by New Times for the Top 10 Vintage Shops in the Metro Area! Yea! Yippee!! Zinnia's is my favorite shop for fun finds and just happens to be where I have 2 booths at! Make sure you stop in next week for Third Thursday, Michael is having an old fashioned Ice Cream Social! Keep Up!

Things are moving crazy fast here at Vintage Bliss, I"m getting ready for several huge and amazing shows. It's hot here in AZ and I can't wait to get outta here!!! First up, next saturday is Art & Soul-Vegas! Yippee!!! This is a great event with amazing teachers and fun vendor night. I'm making alot of etched copper pieces and putting together lots of vintage goods for art making! I'll see you there Saturday!

3 days home from Art & Soul and then it's off to Country Stampede!! I'll be bringing a ton of Bobby Boyd Designs jewelry with me. Can't wait to see all the great artists that will be performing! Oh yea, did I mention BBD was named the Official Artist of Country Stampede??!! How cool is that??!! We have some amazing creations for this show, Bobby and the guys have been working like crazy to get it all done, and me behind the scenes with all the boring stuff. I'll see yo u there June 21st-24th.

ANd then, home for 3 days again, and its off to Montana and Idaho!!!!!!!!! I'll fave more on that, but it's going to be a gypsy caravan!!

The Vintage Marketplace

This past weekend was the Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow,CA. I've done this show for a couple of years now, and it never disappoints. Gorgeous and more gorgeous. Rita and Christie always pull off this show and have an amazing amount of Dealers that bring the best vintage and handmade goods around. Here is my little trailer and part of my set up. I really liked the way it looked this time, yummy vintage treasures everywhere!

I made this altered slipdress with some fishnetting at the bottom for a summertime theme... I've always loved dying the dresses with this color combo-tan at the top and then the soft aqua blue at the bottom.

I have to share this sassy gal with you all, she was my booth neighbor who is an amazing furniture and decor painter. SHe bought this dress and another, doesn't she look awesome with her cool boots??

A few of the new designs I made with Bobby's tin pieces...adore!

I have to show you this awesome table that my Dad helped me make...it is a very large paper cutter, about 3' wide. I wanted to make it into some kind of tabletop. So my Dad thought it would be cool to make the legs out of cut down chain link fence posts. It has a great industrial look, and yes he put a screw in the handle so no kids can cut off their siblings arms! LOL

This is silly Nicki playing around and modeling some Bobby Boyd Designs jewelry. She bought the necklace at the last show, and now is a proud owner of one of those sparkly rhinestone bracelets. She's a sparkler!

Rita and Christie made this super cute photo backdrop, so of course I had to get in on the fun! I'm here with my friend Annie of Dragonfly Daydreams. Cute!

Now this show was a first---the first time I ever FORGOT my camera!!! What????!! I know you are saying, I never ever ever forget my camera. I guess that's how stupid crazy everything is right now. At least I had my phone and all these pics came from it. This is a part of Becky's set up, I absolutely loved her paper flowers and how she used the old garden hose inbetween them. Brilliant!

I loved this old truck from Rachel Luna. 

I really wanted to steal this mannequin off of Lisa Loria's table...hee hee

Robin M.'s booth was hands down the best. I adored all of it. She really put alot of time and effort in it. Love, love...

And Debbie W. never disappoints. Always beautiful.....
