November Happenings

Since it is the beginning of the month I thought I would share with you all the awesome events coming up that I will be at. November & December are always very busy and the next 45 days will be c-a-razy! 

First up, is Spellbound in Pasadena, CA on the 9th of Nov. I'll be there with my girl-Michelle. My first art love has always been mixed media, so these types of events are always a favorite. Can't wait to see what everyone makes. I'll be there for the Vendor night with lots of vintage supplies, and some handmade goods.

I've been waiting for this one for a while now-The Big Heap! My friends Mickey and Lori from Thieves Market in Cave Creek are putting on this super cool 3 day event filled with lots of vintage treasures and handmade goods. They have put together a great mix of vendors from all over. Check their website for all the details. It is going to be out at the Pioneer Living History Museum, just north of town. It's a perfect day trip!

Then, the frosting on the cupcake---The Vintage Marketplace! I love this show because I get to see lots of friends and great customers. It's always fun to see what everyone makes for Christmas decorations. I think this is probably the best Vintage Marketplace all year long. I've got lots of ideas swirling in my head, so right now I'm just trying to put them all together!

Country Living fair Atlanta

I'm back from Atlanta, and WOW! is all I can say. I've been to all 3 Country Living Fairs this year and this one was the best! Stone Mountain Park was absolutely beautiful, and the weather was perfect! It was so busy, I barely had time to walk around, I still didn't get to see it all though. Kinda bummed about that. This is me with sweetpea-Cari of HGTV's "Cash & Cari". She is a funny gal, and can't wait til we get to hang out again, the girl cracks me up! And she repurposes' some pretty cool things.

Here are some new earrings I designed for the show, I really love these-they are so dainty.

I started mixing soldered pieces with the tin, and I love how they turned out..

I also started playing a bit with some of Bobby's 6in plaques, adding some sparkles to them...

I really loved this patina blue chippy dresser, won't fit in my suitcase though..

Then, our booth neighbor was the sweet Kara of McMaster & Storm. I bought some goodies from her, and oodled over here creations and finds...

And sweet girl, Jenn stopped by. I loved her adorable outfit she was wearing, pairing a cute animal print sweater with a pale peachy-pink dress, and cute boots, the whole thing loved it! Thank you for stopping by! 

I had a blast, and i'll definitely be back!

For The Love of Old

This past July I stopped off at a friends shop called For the Love of Old in Central Phoenix. I wanted to share with you a few photos from this little gem of a vintage shop. I stopped there to take some photos for my next issue of Blissfully Traveled, I'm still working on it, one day it will be done soon. 

Gizelle and her husband put together some of the coolest vignettes, I love all the vintage toy trucks and industrial pieces. 

From time to time you'll see  their cute little boy testing out the merchandise like this vintage sofa! lol

Their inventory of vintage goods is constantly changing, they are always finding great treasures to share with you. They also do several local markets like JunkRestore, and Junk in my Trunk. 

For the Love of Old is located on the corner of 16th St & Bethany Home Rd in Phoenix. They don't have a blog, but they do post updates on their Facebook page.

Jewelry Designs

I thought I would share a few jewelry designs that I've done lately. This one was just too cool, the little charlotte doll was made from a mold out of ceramic material. Sold at Zapp Hall in Texas.

A Rodeo Royalty Birthday

While in Texas last week I got the opportunity to celebrate a friend's birthday. I met Kevin & Brandi from Rodeo Royalty a year ago at Zapp Hall. They have an amazing set up-teepee, vintage trailer, and killer goods! All the things a girl needs! Kevin-Brandi's husband put together a surprise birthday party for her in midst of one the biggest shows we all do-that is a feat in itself! The weather was perfect for us, and she was totally surprised, I helped out with a party alibi, so she wouldn't suspect anything. I think it worked. 

Melissa with The Bake Shop Cafe provided some amazing food and treats-this girl can cook-oh my! My tummy was happy! And the way they dressed the tables were gorgeous. I loved the crushed orange-rust velvet with the burlap runner. It felt like Thanksgiving!

Right at dusk was the perfect set up for a gathering....

This is Kevin with their friend-seamtress, displaying the quilt they had made for her with all the tshirts she has designed and few other personal momentos. It was absolutely gorgeous and so heartfelt. I really loved and admired the way he put all this together for her, it was more than words could express.

This is Brandi as she arrived to the surprise party, it was getting dark so my pics aren't so great, but she was super surprised! The plan worked!

And then they danced......so perfect.

Thank you to Kevin,Brandi, and Lisa-their business partner for a great friendship. See you all again in Vegas!

Country Living Atlanta

In two weeks I'll be here!! If you're in the area-come by! Country Living Fairs are some of the best around! I've been to alot of shows and these are awesome! So many amazing creative dealers. Bobby and I will be there with our line of tin tile jewelry and all his super cool tin creations. I'll see you at the Fair!

Texas=My Heart

A couple of years ago I made the decision to go to Roundtop,TX for Antiques Week. I went for the junk, the thrill, and as an outlet to sell my finds/creations. I fell in love with it all the minute I drove into town with Heidi. I had been a long time follower/admirer of Junk Gypsies and was so excited to meet them. I'm still in awe of their style and love of junk. I realized with this trip to Texas, that I not only go for all the above mentioned reasons, but now it's for the friends. I've made a ton of new friends here,some I only see at this show-2 times a year, but it's like we never stop inbetween. We all have a mutual admiration for each other's style. I call it my "SOuL vAcaTiOn" I realized this more with how my picture taking has changed with this trip-more people, more friends, less of the junky treasures. Pictured above is sweet pea Amie of Junk Gypsies. She's always adorable, even when we are sweating like chili peppers on grill! 

My "pink" sister Amy of Art by Amy. She brought me a bag of goodies from her new line of jewelry supplies that are sold in Michaels stores throughout the country. I love her line and have bought many a piece since it debuted earlier this year. I've followed and admired her style for years, ever since seeing her booth at the KC Holiday Mart. A gypsy spirit.

I really wanted to keep these for myself, but if that was the casse-my house would be on Hoarders! Sold on set up day. bye-bye!

Cloverleaf Boutique

I went to Disneyland-well, my version of Disneyland for grown kids who love fun & funky! While driving to Texas from Kansas City I drove thru Ardmore,OK where Cloverleaf Boutique is located. I've read about this awesome store, even published an article about it in my magazine Blissfully Traveled that was written by my friend Cindy Craine, but I had not been yet to this phenomenon.... til now....

this is just the outside, can you imagine the inside??!!!!!! Gahhhhhhh!!!! Heaven!!!

Seriously???? I was going cra-zy!!! It's like pink meets the carnival, meets PeeWee's Playhouse, meets funky! I call it like Disneyland because your eyes are like on a rollercoaster trying to take it all in. 

You know I had to pull up next to this...can you imagine my pink Bliss Lounge trailer being pulled by a pink Escalade?????!!! Gaahhhhh!!!

And yes...it gets better..this gorgeous hunk of pink metal trailer. They are still working on it, but it's got a great start!

This is the ONE thing that I would have loved to buy, but I don't think it was for sale. Honestly, how damn cool is that??? A pink lighted vintage martini glass sign!!!!! One top of the Bliss Lounge??? Gahhhhh!!!
