I only have a few photos of the Junk Gypsy Prom, it gets so busy that I have to stay in my booth, and only get to run to the Junk Gypsy tent for a few minutes. This is my new friend Melissa in her prom outfit-super cute! and me in my altered slipdress I made for Prom. It was way way cold, so I had to wear 2 jackets over it. It is usually hotter than Haites here, so I only packed shorts and warm weather clothes. Well, I needed alot more than that this time! The slipdress is dyed, and then I sewed some tattered crochet doily's and a petticoat on the bottom. It was really cute.
I had to take a photo of these cuties in their prom attire. There were about 10 more gals dressed like this in their group. Love the color!
These ladies made their own burlap chaps-great idea! Love their hats too!
And this is crazy Bobby, my business partner with the tin tile jewelry we make. He put this outfit together-it's "Me,Myself, and I". Some customers of his brought him the 2 doll heads that they said looked like him. So he put them on some get up and wore them on his shoulders all night. Everyone wanted their photo with him. Goofy, I know!
And this is Miranda's tourbus leaving on friday morning after prom. They made a VIP tent for her, and I'm such a dork I didn't even see it until it was too late. Or I guess even realize what it was. Probably a good thing, I would've been trying to take pics of it with her in it. LOL I saw her several times shopping at Zapp Hall where I set up, and then she came into my trailer, but I didn't ask for a picture because you could tell she was trying to be as incognito as possible. I can respect that. Just having the short conversation we had was enough for me.
And no trip home from Texas is complete without a stop at Cracker Barrel in Las Cruces, lol. My ankles and legs were swollen like cantalopes by the time we got here, so we stopped for awhile to put my legs up . Driving 22 hours straight can be a bummer on your circulation. I have to give a huge thank you to my partner in crime-traveling gypsy friend-Heidi of Paris Montana. She was a great nurse, bringing me aspirin, water, and scolding me to go to the doctor. All the while taking care of her mama's dog too-Monique, who was stressed with the trip too. We were a lively bunch for sure! Oh yea, and we almost got kicked out of the Hampton Inn in La Grange,TX! That's a good story too. Ask me about it the next time you see me at a show. Somehow our trips to TX almost always involve an altercation with someone and the police. LOL One day you'll see my mugshot on here! Hee hee.
Blissfully Yours, Tricia
