Ta-dah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have been playing with the idea of creating a logo for business for awhile now. Since I have the trailer I really wanted to incorporate it into the design. I asked my friend Lisa Loria to draw the trailer for me with some wings and a crown. I have always loved the art of tattoos and the whole wing/crown thing. So she sketched this out and it was perfect! I love love love it!!! Lisa is the most amazingly talented painter,artist, creative ball of energy I know! My sister added the pink to the trailer and the stars. I have a little bit more to do, but I coudn't contain myslef anymore, I had to share. Sis is working on the blog header now, yippee!!! Can't wait!! What do ya think??!!!!

A Paris Montana Summer Send Off!

 
Last night at the Paris Montana store we had a little Summer Send Off Party. We are both hittin' the road outta this HOT town for some gypsy winds and cool nights! It was great to see ol' friends and the new ones made over the past couple of months at the store. Heidi also debuted her new trailer "Blacktop Boudoir" renovation, and it is spectacular! Just when you think that little Airstream cutie couldn't get any cuter-it does!

 
It looks amazing, I love the old ceiling tin tiles-perfect! And I really love seeing my altered vintage slipdresses in there, too!

 
She recovered the pink leather tufted surround with some faux fur, and it just amazes! It really is looking very boudoir in there!

 
She is taking all the slipdresses I have made with her to Montana, so it will be fun to see how they do there. It's just so cute in there!

 
This was a new dress I finished just for the party. The bustle on this is soooo gorgeous. I just love a dress with a bustle, how cool is that? And where would you find that, only here!

 
This one is covered in sheer tulle black rosettes, A-mazing! Don't worry the store will be back open on Aug. 11th with the best Fall finds for you! We're coming back with some ideas that will make you come kicking down the door!

"Cause Gypsies Never Get Tied Down"

 
I'll be at Paris Montana in Scottsdale tomorrow night for the big "send off"! In true gypsy style Heidi will be heading out on the open road for the summer with her Blacktop Boudoir Airstream. It has gone through some changes and I am soooo excited to see what it looks like now! The Airstream will be there for you to tour through before she hits the road, and we'll have a bit of the bubbly as well. Yummy!

4200 N. Marshall Way ste 5-6, just North on Marshall Way from Indian School. Thursday night is the Artwalk so all the galleries and shops are open late. See you there!

Whirlwind Weekend-Week!

 
Well, it's been a whirlwind of a week, weekend folks. I'm tired, really tired. I have to say. This past weekend I went out to Urban Barn for the monthly Street Faire as part of my Pursuit of Pretty Tour, halfway thru it! I brought the Bliss Lounge back home this time, she needs some TLC. Poor thing gets pretty beat up on the road!

 
I made a few more altered journals for the show, this one is so darn cute!

 
I also picked up another vintage mannequin a few weeks ago, love this one. She has a cute little pony tail, too. I love,love mannequins. There's just something creepy cool about them.

 
I did a little painting last week, I really like the way this frame turned out.

Picked up this awesome antique trunk a few weeks ago too, my altered slipdress looks pretty cute on it! That sweet little dress sold too. Yippee!

 
I was totally adoring this vintage aqua typewriter that another vendor had for sale in the Barn.

 
This sign that Robin has for sale in her spot was catching my eye as well. I love Paella,too!

 
I love the way the girls styled this bed. It's so dreamy and comfy looking. I could nap there for hours! Lots to get ready for this week, and lots to do! Off to my own dreamy bed! Ni-nite!

Zinnia's Booth Re-do

 

This week I did some rearranging at my booth inside Zinnia's at Melrose on 7th Ave & Indian School here in Phoenix. I picked up some super cute treasures last weekend at a flea market in sunny So. Cal! Love this sweet little tea cart, chippy, rusty and still has the glass top! Cute!

 
Here's the spot all together. I kinda have it one side pink, & shabby chic, and then the other side vintage industrial office type. The two things I like the most!

 
I adore the little chippy white metal patio table. It has the cutest scrolly ironwork to it. I also brought over some of Rita's super popular painted signs, Cottage, France, and I have one that reads "Rose Queen". These are perfect to hang on a wall or put on a bookshelf for added texture.

 
Now for my darkside.... beakers anyone?? Love vintage industrial, there is just something about it. My house has always been like this, some rooms pink & pretty and then the others creams, tans, mixed with bits of black here and there. My nice side and then the dark side.

Claire Brocato and the Sofa

 
Okay, so that 's not Claire Brocato, but it is the Sofa. While at the Vintage Marketplace this past weekend, Rita hired professional photographer Claire to take some pics of the show, vendors, & such. I've had some of my work photographed by Claire before in some of the Somerset mags, so I am familiar with Claire's work. She is an excellent photographer and just all around sweet lady. I love her accent, love to hear her talk.

 
I brought this amazing sofa to sell at the Marketplace and of course it sold before it even got out of the van! But with the way I pack, everything else had to come out of the van first before the sofa, so the sofa stayed with me til the show end, then I delivered it. SOOOOOO what do I do, take pics and have pics taken on the sofa! I got the courage up to have Claire take some shots of me on the sofa. I'm always the one taking pics and don't really get any of me, plus I have two people in my life right now that are far away and need pics sent, voila! Claire! She said yes, and off to pose I did!

 
Then, my booth neighbor Lori gets in on the shoot, and puts in one of her fabulous boas & antique parasols. Perfect! So my hair was a bit crazy looking, in desparate need of a color appt! Cindi!!!!    I adore Claire and can't thank her enough for taking these shots. If you need some amazing photos taken of an event, look her up, she is in the SO. Cal. area. Yes, we had more photo set ups on the sofa as well. Before my photos were taken I grabbed Jamie and said sit on the sofa I want to take pics on the sofa before I have to give it back! She was dressed so cute like the modern day pinup that she is. Love this photo of her, so cute! So that is the story of Claire Brocato and the sofa.

The Beauty of Tin and Betty

 
These are the beauties. The beauty of tin. These little traveling tin hotties are showing up everywhere, and I like it alot! My little tin beauty is the pink one, and my friends The Two Wild Roses Lori and Jamie own the cutie patootie baby blue one. They were so perfect parked next to each other at this past weekends Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow,CA. This was Lori's first time out with the trailer and she has decorated it so beautifully. It's so dreamy inside, I could nap in her bed everyday.

This is Bliss Lounge Betty in Lori's trailer. Betty came to me by way of Missy of Chateau Chic. She said she was going thru her stash and came across this little doll and thought of me. Of course! Betty is a little rough, a little vintage, and smokin'! So of course, she becomes the Bliss Lounge's newest mascot! Now, the deal with Betty is, she going to be a kind of "flat Stanley" story. She is a "trailer camp tramp" and is going to visit tin can beauties all over and get her photo taken. I'm going to set up an album here on the blog for her escapades to be shown. Just a fun little thing. So this photo will be her first escapade! Yippee!

The Vintage Marketplace

 
I'm back from the absolutely best weekend ev-ah!! The Pursuit of Pretty Tour got kicked off with a Bang!!! The Vintage Marketplace Show was the best one ever. This one was the biggest yet. The weather was perfect, everything was perfect! Thank you to all who came out and supported the show. I know you don't want to hear me blah-blah-blah, On with the photos!!!

And these Bot-dogs from Lisa I think were the "Best in Show"(haha, pun intended). Lisa is ridiculously talented. These creations are the coolest and so inventive, she will even stamp in to metal a little dog tag with your dogs name to personalize it for you.

It was a great weekend spent with friends from far and wide. Ate the best food from the Oaks Restaurant, I've probably gained 5 pounds, but I believe it was so worth it. Lots more pics to share, but I gotta go! More tomorrow!

Heading out for The Vintage Marketplace today, yippee!!! I thought I would share a few pics of some the items I made for the show. These are cute little 5x7 journals or scrapbook albums.
